Is colon cleansing safe?

I read about a diet that includes cleansing your colon to get rid of the toxins that build up inside you.

I am on the Acai berry product right now and I have also done ';the ultimate cleanse'; as well ( at GNCfor $39.95). The one thing that people are not aware of is that when you do these, that healthy people only need to do one a year if that, and when you do them you need to dronk extra water ( more than your daily amount) because it is pulling a lot of water out of your body and can dehydrate you which is very bad. You also need to be taking your vitamins and you may want to double them because the colon cleansers go through your liver and take out all of the vitamins and mineral that you need in your body because it doesn't know which ones you need. so double up at least on a multivitamin and take supplements of acidopholus9 for your skin) and extra b's and c's along with a calcium-zinc-magnesium combination pill to help with bones and getting sick ( not that you will just as a precation to keep from getting sick. Your face will probably break out because it is flushing out all of the toxins in your body. Along with the vitamins, you should stay away from fast food as much as possible and eat as much fresh fruits and veggies and lean meats as you can otherwis e you are defeating the purpose. hope this info helps you. from my personal exeperience it has helped me fell better and took about 6 lbs. off in a 2 week period. You should just get a colonic instead, those cleanses do not work fully at all. It's painless and maybe $80 for your first visit. I did it and I lost 5 lbs of waste the first time.
