Why does the Bible speak of being cleansed from sin?

If it is possible to cleanse sin from our bodies, why wouldn't God just allow us to enter heaven in our earthly form? Some versions of scripture use the words forgiven of your sin and some use the word cleansed of sin. Wash me and I will be whiter then snow...(this appears to indicate washing as opposed to just cancelling a debt owed.) I argue that the body or flesh is impossible to cleanse but the spirit or soul may be cleansed from the body鈥檚 genetic sinfulness. If our DNA is polluted by sin, and our souls live in communion with our bodies, then our souls can become polluted by the effects of a sinful body. The soul on the other hand is eternal and can be cleansed from sin unto eternal life. Without this cleansing, the soul is condemned to suffer eternally in torment. This is the spiritual act of suicide. By not allowing the sin cleansing blood to sanctify the soul by separating the flesh from the spirit, the person or soul of the non-believer is condemned.Why does the Bible speak of being cleansed from sin?
Yes you are correct, by not repenting your sins in the name of Jesus you are committing suicide which in itself is a sin.Why does the Bible speak of being cleansed from sin?
i would not offend anyone by quoting the Bible, so i will simply say--cleansed is what God wants
Read John 3.. We are all sinners. Thats why Jesus came to Die %26amp; was rasied in Three Day. If we don't ask for forgivness, and apply the blood of Christ to our lives (sad to say we will go to hell. Let me add, you have to be ';cleansed'; from sin everyday by asking God to forgive you. Its a prosess.
I argue that the body can be cleansed,as it is a physical manifestation of the soul.Why should'nt God be able to heal even our DNA?He's God,you know!Anyway,Jesus raised the dead and healed the lame and the lepers.Remember he said to the lame man to get up and walk for HIS SINS WERE FORGIVEN.Jesus had healed a physical problem by attending to the underlying spiritual problem.He is the creator of both the soul and the flesh,after all.It stands to reason He has the power to heal both.
I will try to answer your question sentence.

';If it is possible to cleanse sin from our bodies, why wouldn't God just allow us to enter heaven in our earthly form?';

Because God is a just god. He can't let sin be left unpunished.

';Some versions of scripture use the words forgiven of your sin and some use the word cleansed of sin. Wash me and I will be whiter then snow...(this appears to indicate washing as opposed to just cancelling a debt owed.) ';

Sorry I have no idea the difference that you think it is. For God to forgive us of our sins is because of the work of Christ. By his blood we have been cleansed. In turn, we have be given the gift of righteousness, all by the grace of God.

';I argue that the body or flesh is impossible to cleanse but the spirit or soul may be cleansed from the body鈥檚 genetic sinfulness. ';

I totally agree that the flesh is impossible to cleanse. Once we are in Christ, we are a new creation in a sinful body. Our soul is definately being cleansed from sins.

';If our DNA is polluted by sin, and our souls live in communion with our bodies, then our souls can become polluted by the effects of a sinful body.';

You mentioned about soul and body. But have you considered your mind as well? The structure is like this: The holy spirit affects your soul, the soul affects your mind and your mind affects your body. The heart is in the middle of soul and mind. Your DNA is not polluted by sins, but the mind. What cause sinful actions is the mind. The soul is trying to affect your mind and therefore trying to change your sinful habit which in turn is affected by the words of God or His Holy Spirit. Your soul will not be polluated by the sinful actions and deed because Jesus had died on the cross for all your sins. Past, present and future sins. Have a repentance heart and I am sure that you will become more and more like Christ by the hearing of his words. For he who is forgiven much, love much.

';The soul on the other hand is eternal and can be cleansed from sin unto eternal life. Without this cleansing, the soul is condemned to suffer eternally in torment. This is the spiritual act of suicide. By not allowing the sin cleansing blood to sanctify the soul by separating the flesh from the spirit, the person or soul of the non-believer is condemned.';

As long as you believed in Jesus and his finished work, you are declared righteous. Romans 8:1
