has anybody tried the amish/old way of cleansing there skin? if you have... how was your experience?
1) you cleanse your skin with gentle soap
2) you massage your skin with baking soda
3) and do not moisturize because the idea is to have your skin adapt and use its natural oils
4) do this twice dailyThe ';old fashioned'; way to cleanse skin?
Not moisturizing will only make your skin worse. I have never tried this, but it sounds like your skin will get really dry, especially because of the baking soda. And dry skin will only lead to more acne, because your skin will just create more oil to try to keep it moisturizedThe ';old fashioned'; way to cleanse skin?
ive never washed my face that way
but i used to wash my face with cold water and hand soap, then use moisturizer and my skin was pretty clear.
then i stated using scrubs, face masks, toners and all sorts and my face is greasy and full of pimples.
but that's just my personal opinion.
no this is what i do:
i use lancome creme massaging foam thing
sometimes dove wipes or something idkk
then neturagena toner
then ponds/lancome moisturizer
