Three circles clockwise and facing east first around the room ending at east. Do this in all of your rooms. Then smudge yourself doing the same clockwise motion (I usually just switch hands) 3 times.How do i perform a proper cleansing with a sage stick?

I just light it and wave it around every room making sure I get to all the corners.
Light it and just carry it around in every room. Let the smoke go into every corner of every room. As you go from room to room, say something like '; Bless this room. Let no evil enter here.'; Do the same for the doorways that lead outside. Don't forget to fan some of the smoke over you and your family as you go. Good luck with your new house. Blessed be!
