Karma is action (good and bad). The law of karma states that you must live out the effects of the causes you put forth. You 'burn' karma by experiencing the effects of what you put forth. That's it.
By understanding what you've done and being sorrow about it (if it was bad) and making ammends. That's in reference to current life Karma. If you're talking past life, you'll need to be more specific.
Karma is a reality. Everything has an opposing reaction (the Western understanding of Karma is wrong - it normally is down the line of ';if you shoot someone you will be shot'; which isn't what karma necessarily is)





You can ';cleanse'; karma by acting more positively and less selfishly. You may not see it's direct benefits, though, at least in this life time. (hence why some good people are screwed over and some bad people seem to have a good life - they have left over negative/positive karma from previous lives)





Buddhist in monasteries and those who retreat to seclusion are reducing their karma - they are not making positive nor negative karma - they are making none.

They Pray for a definite period daily,That is a Positive Karma(Sat Karma) .So they can erase their negative Karma(Dush Karma) and get the Karma balance in their favour to go Heaven.It is NOT Null and Void.





Dush Karma (bad Action) is the dirt, dust, filth, on one's clothe(Body)--One can cleanse the clothe(Body) using the SOAP of Sat Karma(Good Action)--give some food to poor people-Give your used clothes (warm and ordinary) to homeless people.Help a blind man to cross the road,full of traffic-help a very old person to get in and getout of a Bus or meto train comfortably-offer your bus seat to an old person or a lady with a small child in hand--plant a few tree siblings-Don't be a cause to kill animals for eating--this way one can cleanse one's Bad Karma and positively reach Heaven.One does not need %26amp; No body can help to reach the lotus feet of GOD.One has to help oneself to cleanse one's OWN Dush KARMA(Bad Action) by helpful, samaritan, conducive,benevolent Action to reach Heaven--Meemmaamsa (Hindu ';Revelations by God';=';Dharsanam';) says KARMA alone helps--even GOD is bound by that ';Law of Natural Justice';
Think, say, and do things that end suffering and promote joy, peace, and lovingkindness.
Karma means action.


Be positive in thought and action. Do good, think good, be good. The power of positive thinking in a positive direction will do wonders for your karma.


Do the best you can and do it for God.
Start by making better choices
Karma is not just 'bad things happen to bad people', it is also 'good things happen to good people'. This may not always pan out, but if you are honest (for instance) less people will try to deceive you.


Your nature will effect the nature of those around you. And vice versa.


My advice is work on being the person you want to be, without looking for a karmic pay off or punishment.
Bad karma is energy and unstopable,but you can start by creating good karma, don't react to the bad karma due in a negative way but respond by constructing positive karma,this will eventually lead to only good karma being returned. .
