It depends on what type of ritual, and what culture or religion. What is a cleansing ritual and how is it performed?
The cleansing is done with smoke. Make a smudge of a fragrant plant dried enough to burn. One person holds the smoking smudge and the person being cleansed holds out their arms and turns to get the smoke while the first person sort of waves it around their body and arms and legs. It is a symbolic cleansing. There may be silence or chanting and or drumming. I seriously doubt that you are going to be able to levitate, however. But, if you do, send us a photo, ok?What is a cleansing ritual and how is it performed?
Mix some soap with some water and a towel and rub all over yourself then wash it off. LOL
cleansing rituals depend on which one you are doing and why. They cleans the negative energys out of an area and purify it what type are you looking for something basic ?

A cleansing ritual on yourself or a room?
I cleanse my room at least once a month by lighting incense. I use Suyra Rose incense for cleansing.
While the incense is burning I sweep out all old dirt and stuff and repeat ';bless this room, cleanse this room, protect this room'; over and over again throughout the process.
If you are looking for a more particular ritual you can email me if you'd like.
I don't know what that is, but (please do NOT take this offensively, I have nothing against people of this denomination) is that a Catholic thing (no one get mad @ me for saying that; I'm not Catholic, so I don't know). The only cleansing rituals I know of are
1) the one that the high priests used in the OT (Old Testament) on the Day Of Atonement. This was done every year by the high priest. In the sanctuary, people would sacrifice their best, perfect offering (often a lamb or a pair of turtledoves, if they were poor) %26amp; the priest would pray while the head of the family would place their head on the lamb's head, symbolically placing the sins of them %26amp; their family on the offering. At the end of the prayer, the sinner would slit the throat of the animal, a small container would catch the blood, %26amp; the priest would sprinkle some blood on the horns of the altar (where the animal was) %26amp; inside the Most Holy Place (the 1st part of the Sanctuary). %26amp; he'd wash his hands %26amp; feet, too. On the day of Atonement, there'd be an extra-special ceremony, %26amp; @ the end of it, the high priest would go in to the Most Holy Place (2nd part of the Sanctuary) %26amp; do something.
or
2) Where we confess our sins %26amp; Jesus cleanses us of our sins (1 John 1:9).
Generally, the idea of a cleansing ritual is to cleanse the body and/or the spirit. However, there are so many different cleansing rituals from so many different spiritual paths that maybe you should just pick a path and THEN ask!
