Call a Priest. Anglican, Roman Catholic, Orthodox.
Have them do a house blessing around the time of Epiphany (Jan. 6)
Works very well, in my experience.
The yearly blessing of homes at the Feast of the Theophany touches our daily lives with the sanctifying waters of the Jordan in which Our Lord was baptized. In blessing a home, the Church asks God to drive away every evil influence from our home and those who live in it, and to renew with extra vigor the influence of the Holy Spirit in our domestic lives. The Church Fathers speak of the home as a small church, and just as we must chase away the influences of the Evil One from our parishes and parish families, so too must we do so - at least annually - in our domestic family.
In preparing for a house blessing, the following should be noted:
1. A QUIET AND HOLY ENVIRONMENT: Turn off the television and radio before the priest arrives. Assemble all the family and friends in the home around the icon corner, or at an icon prepared for the occasion. Take the phone off the hook.
2. PREPARE THE TABLE: For the house blessing, the priest will require the following:
- a table covered with a clear white cloth
- an icon with a candle in front of it
- a censer, with incense and charcoal
- matches
- a small, clean bowl that will not be used for any future purpose
(i.e. just for holy water)
- a sprig of basil or cedar
3. CLEAR A PATH: Clear away objects and furniture to allow a clear path for the priest to walk as he moves throughout the house at the sprinkling of the holy water. Secure pets away from the area. If it is dark, turn on the lights throughout the house, and make sure all doors - including closets - are open or ajar.
4. FOOD AND DRINK: It is not necessary to provide food and drink for the priest at a house blessing. Often, if the priest is blessing many homes, it is better to save hospitality for another occasion, and to make special arrangements with the priest in advance of his visit. The faithful are reminded that the priest endeavors to the best of his ability to keep the fast days of the Church, and the support of the priest by the faithful in this regard is much appreciated. Can anyone tell me how to cleanse my house of spirits or ghosts?
Nothing works like cedar. Make sure it's the red cedar (otherwise known as juniper. ) You can burn it to get rid of various malevolent spirits, and then hang a tiny sprig of it over the top of the main entrance to the house for further help.
I would pray and ask God not to allow spirits %26amp; ghosts into your house. After you pray believe he will not let them in. Worked for me when we moved into a antebellum home.
stop believing in them they will go away.
if you want to clear your house of spirits you should call in your local pentecostal minister.
after he has left you will no longer find the ghost of a spirit in your house.
prayer helps...
also, consider the following...

You ask them to go towards the white light
Also call in a preist to cleanse the house
Get rid of anything in your house that may be causing them to be there. Like ouija boards, pornography, any statues or evil relics, books, magazines, movies, etc. Pray in the name of Jesus for them to leave. Say His name out loud. they hate that. If they still are there, then consult a pastor about it.
You command the evil spirits, ';in the name of Jesus Christ, to leave this home. Spirits you have no authority to be here, and I serve a higher God than you will ever be. And by the power of Jesus Christ, and the Holy spirit, you are commanded once again to leave this home, because Jesus is the head of this home, and you can not, and will not abide here. I say this in Jesus' name.
House Blessing.
We do it periodically. Our (Orthodox) priest does a formal ceremony that starts in at our icons of Jesus and Mary, then proceeds through the entire home.
Father K mentioned things to prepare, which may be necessary in the Anglican tradition, but our priest brings his own holy water, holy oil, candles, censor and incense.
Do make the home quiet, clean and easily navigated, so the priest can walk easily while swinging the censor with one hand and holding a candle in the other.
It is a traditional courtesy to have some refreshments for the priest (and perhaps his family, if they come, too), or even a full dinner after the blessing.
A cash gift to the priest is also traditional. After all, this is his work, and he needs to make a living, too. The amount depends on many factors. You should inquire at the church about the amount, i.e.: ask parishioners or the Church Warden, deacon etc.
Whether you get a house blessing or not, it is always correct to live a decent, clean life without ';inviting'; evil into your home.
You asked for serious answers. This is the Orthodox one.
I wouldn't try the do-it-yourself instructions others have suggested.
First anoint above your windows and doors with oil
Say ';I claim the blood of Jesus Christ over this house and all that dwell in it'; Ask God to reveal to you any unclean thing in your house that is upsetting to Him. (when I did this once I was led to under my stairs a co-renters porn collection) He will show you anything offensive. Don't be afraid to be vocal and say I claim this ground as Holy Ground too. Demons love to hear the gospel and christian music .LOL torment them to leaving with the reading of Your bible outloud. at the name of Jesus ,satan has to flee.
An supernatural question is asked so naturally (as if you are trying to get rid of bugs out of your house), that I don't know how to answer!
In Japan people put little bowls of salt on the window sills. The Chinese sometimes use ';Ba-qua';

Ok I read a lot of the other answers. They are a lot of modern religous answers. That is great if you have faith in such things. What might work is sage. You get some sage. Light the sage outside your property. Take the sage to all the corners outside your house then go inside and state that this is your house and go from room to room. If you have notice activity in one particular room save that one for last. I am pretty sure that is how it is done. You might want to ask around to make sure.
**** 'N Span.
The power of Jesus Christ has been granted to His followers to command evil angels to depart. Be sure, they are evil angels, not a wispy ghost. Seek the help of a pastor. This is not hearsay either, it is a fact.
think that they are going to Hawii (unless you live there) then show them a map and the will leave. im serious i felt like i had a gost so i told them to go to hawii and they did!!
Empty the liquor cabinet.
How you go about doing that is your business, of course.
Well first of all...
Are you saved and born again Christian?
Are you living in obedience to God?
Cause if you aren't, then you've no protection. So even if they did leave (if they did), they would just come back with even more wicked spirits.
Further is your house haunted and how is it haunted?
I mean what is going on?
Further did you or anyone open a door like using occultic things like ouija boards, tarot cards, palm reading, psychics, witchcraft, spells, etc. etc.?
If you or anyone else did, then you or that other person(s) gave legal grounds and rights for the demon(s) to stay.
Such items would need to be burned and each sin renounced.
Further it also depends on the evil spirit and its power in the demonic hierachy.
So it isn't like you could just say a few words and expect something to happen.
Or
Burn some incense or something like that.
It depends and it can be a full out battle.
Question is...Are you willing to fight it and be free?
If you are...then express you are willing.
Jesus is the Name that the demons fear, but I must warn you...His Name is NOT to be flaunt around like it is some magic potion.
are you a Christian? do you have demonic relics in your home? im me
Look http://issplist.cybershimla.com they will help you.
Cast the spirits out of the house with Jesus's name.
Cast them out and believe.
If they are still there, you have to place all-or-nothing faith in Jesus!Or it could be a test from God.
Put your trust in the Lord for God has only plans to prosper us,not to harm us.
God bless ya.
There's lots of ways that people believe in. The most common is just trying to talk them away. After that you have to get into rituals. That's bad news. So try talking.
You need an expert.
I am being very serious, there is no such thing. Everyone who claims to have talked to the dead has been exposed or refuses to do so under scientific scrutiny. So save your money.
Think rationally about it, you'll soon figure out that spirits and/or ghosts do not exist. Once you have freed your mind from superstition, then you will no longer be bothered by them!
Use the scented Mr Clean
How can anyone give you a serious answer when there are no such things as spirits or ghosts.
Concentrate on your Earthy dirt! Bleach is cheap and effective.
